Our inaugural vintage of AVZ, (Ancient Vine Zinfandel Dessert Wine) is a wine created by fermenting our oldest vine Zinfandel and arresting the fermentation by the addition of high-quality grape spirits, then aged in oak barrels for 22 months. AVZ has intense fruit of blackberry, plum and strawberry, with hint of toasted walnuts. The rich body is balanced with the sweetness, tannin and alcohol and had flavors of strawberry, raspberry with hints of caramel and fig jam.
