This wine comes from vines that are more than 100 years old which classifies them as Ancient Vine. Vines of this age are rare because the low yield doesn't make economic sense for growers. Fortunately, Jim and Johnny Van Ruiten are dedicated to producing quality wines so have chosen to keep these old vineyards. Due to the small crop size, these vines produce grapes of exceptional quality. This allows us to make wines with outstanding character and depth, but the low yield means this is a limited production wine.
